A Bit of Background

PENN STATE PROJECT HAITI AT A GLANCE

Here at Penn State Project Haiti, we are driven by a mission to foster a community of love, service, and friendship through students at Penn State who all share one common goal… To raise money and spread awareness for our brothers and sisters in Haiti.

OUR STORY

Working Towards Haiti's Future

Dealing with the challenges of today requires problem-solvers who bring different perspectives and are willing to take risks. Penn State Project Haiti emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support the community, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. Established in 1997, we’re an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support. We work hard year-round to raise funds and awareness for our partners in Haiti.  Our partners include an orphanage in Hinche, the rural village of Jacsonville, and the Azil which is a home for critically ill infants and adults. Project Haiti runs fundraisers all year such as spaghetti dinners, wheel chair pushing at football games, DP fundraisers, and more. Contact us to learn more and get involved.
